[MPlayer-users] -vo sdl for nVidia Vanta (TNT2) and XFree86 4.2.1

I cannot run mplayer -vo sdl with nVidia Vanta (TNT2) and XFree86 4.2.1

I was able to run -vo sdl with XFree 3.x (RedHat 7.1), but with XFree86 
4.2.1 it displays a black screen with a very small green rectangle in 
top left corner. No error messages on console, movie seems to run 
properly, except it's black.

Is this because of TNT2 and  XFree86 4.2.1 combination?
