[MPlayer-users] audiodump.wav too short?

Dear Sirs,
I've been using mencvcd 0.1.10 that is otherwise working pretty good
except for one thing that seems to be more mplayer issue than
mencvcd issue nor any relating tool, namely:
as mensvcd dumps audio by saying -ao pcm -waveheader
it happens to me that the audiodump.wav produced by mplayer is a bit
too short, like this:
$ mpginfo foo.mpa
foo.mpa
Audio : Mpeg 1 layer 2
Estimated Duration: 08.70s
224 kbps 44100 Hz
Frame size: 731 bytes
Stereo, No emphasis, copy
$ mpginfo foo.mpv
foo.mpv
Mpeg 1 Video File
Estimated Duration: 09.32s
Size [352 x 288] 25.00 fps 1.15 Mbps
where foo.mpa is produced from audiodump.wav. My guess is that this
has something to do with the audio sample rate in original .avi file
(32000) that was produced by dvgrab-1.1b2-1 containing stuff
that looks like this:
Cache fill: 0.00% (0 bytes) Detected AVI file format!
VIDEO: [dvsd] 720x576 24bpp 25.00 fps 28927.3 kbps (3531.2 kbyte/s)
==========================================================================
Detected audio codec: [pcm] afm:pcm (Uncompressed PCM)
Opening audio decoder: [pcm] Uncompressed PCM audio decoder
AUDIO: 32000 Hz, 2 ch, sfmt: 0x10 (2 bps), ratio: 128000->128000 (1024.0 kbit)
vo: X11 running at 1152x864 with depth 15 and 15 bpp (":0.0" => local display)
==========================================================================
Opening video decoder: [dshow] DirectShow video codecs
Decoder supports the following YUV formats: YUY2 UYVY
Decoder is capable of YUV output (flags 0x9)
VDec: vo config request - 720 x 576 (preferred csp: Packed YUY2)
[PP] Using codec's postprocessing, max q = 4
VDec: using BGR 15-bit as output csp (no 4)
Movie-Aspect is undefined - no prescaling applied.
VO: [x11] 720x576 => 720x576 BGR 15-bit
SwScaler: using unscaled BGR 15-bit -> BGR 15-bit special converter
Detected video codec: [qdv] vfm:dshow (Sony Digital Video (DV))
==========================================================================
AO: [oss] 32000Hz 2ch Signed 16-bit (Little-Endian)
Start playing...
and this happens with 0.90pre8-1 that I downloaded from
http://mirrors.sctpc.com/dominik/linux/pkgs/mplayer/ that seems to
work otherwise ok. How to fix this? I guess I can't change my
digital camera to capture audio at 44.1kHz??
