[MPlayer-users] XV or Xvid don't work right with "ATI Mobility M3"

Hi,

I've been using mplayer for quite a while, and I have one machine
(laptop) on which I can't get accelerated support correctly.

The video chip is a "ATI Mobility M3" (thinkpad A21p)

I use XF 4.1.0.1, which reports the chip as:
(--) Chipset ATI Rage 128 Mobility LF (AGP) found

XV kind of works, but I only get the left half of the picture, stretched
(i.e. no way to see the right half).

Xvid has the same problem, but it's in black and white and changes my
mouse cursor into a 32x32 corrupted square bitmap.

Any idea what I can do? (I'm pretty sure it's not mplayer specific, but
an issue with getting accelerate playback support on that chipset)

Thanks,
Marc
