[MPlayer-users] xv gives blue screen

Since a while back (maybe after Debian SID upgraded X to 4.2) xv no longer works correctly for me. Instead of seeing the movie (which seems to play fine) I just see a blue screen like this: http://spikboll.net/slask/mplayer-blue.jpg

X11 works fine and xv have worked before. I run mplayer-20021023 and linux 2.4.19 on an celeron 433 with a i810 dc-100.
