[MPlayer-users] freetype questions

hi,


i tried the new ttf font support ... it's very nice :-)

2 questions:

1. is it really needed to have freetype 2.1?
	i tried it some time ago, and it was enough to have freetype2,
	but then i tried it yesterday and it needed freetype2.1..

i'm only asking because my distribution simply doesn't provide
freetype2.1 yet ( i had to find it on the net ), and it worked with
freetype2.0 before .. actually after i compiled/installed mplayer, i
went back to freetype2.0 rpms, and mplayer is still working :-))

so is mplayer using something freetype2.1 specific? it doesn't look like
that...


2. -subcp, -subfont-encoding... they both do the same, both work ( i
tried ).... so which one is recommended ( will -subcp become
deprecated?)?
