Hi,
Buglist for RC2:
1)
The automatic audio filter chain has A-V sync problems.
No, -autosync doesn't help.
e.g.
Soundcard only supports 48000Hz/2ch/16bit with OSS.
This is correctly detected:
AO: [oss] 16000Hz 1ch Signed 16-bit (Little-Endian)
Building audio filter chain for 16000Hz/1ch/16bit -> 48000Hz/2ch/16bit...
But A-V seems to orientate at 16000Hz so
A-V drops while playing A-V: -2,150 ... A-V:-32,482 and so on.
So the video is played to fast, Audio is OK.
2)
The 4:3 to 16:9 (or otherwise) change within an MPEG2 stream is not detected.
Which looks very weird...
3)
Mute doesn't disconnect from (e.g.) /dev/dsp.
So playing other audio is only possible with another dsp device.
Please disconnect like the pause function does.
Additionaly mplayer doesn't unmute on exit.
Feature Request list:
Some stuff is already mentioned by others...
1)
Snapshot picture function.
2)
Printing the current (exact) byteposition within a stream to stdout would be
very helpful. Maybe there is an undocumented option for this?
3)
Interactive stream dump. Just press a specific key and the current stream is
also dumped (with header) to disk with a e.g. time based filename.
Another key should stop the stream dump.
4)
Better frame by frame selection, slow motion, fast motion, etc.
Thanks for mplayer anyway, :-)
Panko
