and he is the designer of teh Xv interface which is just plain wrong,
at least for video playback.
you can't avoid the video image being copied over form sysmem to video mem,
no control over when the iamge is actually displayed (transfer finished),
can't do triple buffering (even double buffering requires hacks, both user
side (xvattr XV_DOUBLE_BUFFER=1) and driver side)...

i wouldn't call him a wizard.
(anyway i know him well, we exchanged lots of mails regarding nvidia drivers
and other xv stuff - he is blind fan of nvidia and doesn't care anything else.)
