I'd assume there are lots, systems other than Linux. Certainly I never
had /bin/bash when I worked with Suns. My FreeBSD has bash in /usr/local/bin
and /bin/sh is something else, maybe ash. I wouldn't have bash on my Debian system
either, but bashisms seem to have crept into some Debian package installation
scripts.
Did I miss something or didn't this start when someone complained that
the configure script didn't work when his /bin/sh was pdksh or zsh? IMHO,
there's no reason it should, since AFAIK neither pdksh nor zsh claim
compatibility to traditional /bin/sh.
