[MPlayer-users] can mplayer adress either multiple audio channels or multip. dxr3 boards simultaniously?

hi,

i am still investigating the possiblity of playing multiple videos
independently with one pc using mplyer. the problem i have to solve before i
can go on working on anything else is multiple audio. since the pci-slots
will be full with videocards, i have no more space for audio. two thought to
solve the problem:

1, i could use two 5.1 channel audiocards. could i adress the single
channelsfrom different instances of mplayer?

2, i could use hollywood dxr3 cards, wich also come with audio-out. i just
don't know if i could adress more than one of these cards from within
mplayer.

does anybody else know?
