[MPlayer-users] I STILL, STILL, STILL cannot compile mplayer/mencoder on OS X.

Jessica-
I have built/run mplayer on osx for many versions and build/run the same
distribution on sun and mips platforms. I like to develop on osx and then
run on our target platform which is embedded mips32.
I am the one who posted the "band-aid" solution. On the mac you're gonna
have to ifdef out the InitializeQTML or comment them out. This should be
fixed as a function of the --disable-qtx-codecs configure option, but it
wasn't the last time I checked. The workaround for me was:
6. When porting to release Mplayer-0.90rc5, the build on OSX could not find
the symbol InitializeQTML even when I passed in the command line option
--disable-qtx-codecs to configure. I worked around the problem by not
calling InitializeQTML in libmpcodecs/ad_qtaudio.c and
libmpcodecs/vd_qtvideo.c.
This is from a document that I keep up to date for our customers that want
to port mplayer to our mips evaluation board. If you want a copy, then send
me a note and I'll drop you a copy. There is some stuff in there about
building for osx. I used to use sdl, but now have moved over to x11 to make
the sun and osx behavior the same. For mips I use fbdev. I would recommend
using x11, is this what you are doing?
All of this pertains to the 0.90 build, I normally stay out of the cvs tree.
