[MPlayer-users] basic bugs

Dear Developers,

It would be nice if some of the really obvious and basic bugs in the
GUI and keyboard interface got fixed before 0.90.

(1) The Up and Down, and PageUp and PageDown, keys are the wrong way
    round, both according to intuition and according to the
    documentation.
    Some time around 0.50, I managed to patch this so that it worked,
    but the mplayer code, particularly the input event handling, is
    such a mess that I couldn't carry patches forward, and I can't now
    spend the several days it takes to work it out again. The person
    who wrote that code should be able to do it more quickly, I hope!
(2) Some of these keys act both on press and release. In particular,
    pressing Right moves the movie on by 20 seconds, instead of 10.
    I did fix this once, but again the patches don't carry through
    to more recent versions.
(3) Playing a list of files from the command line is broken (again).
    At present, mplayer loops twice through the first file before
    going on to play the others.

(I'm using a straight build of 0.90rc4 on Mandrake 9.0.)

It's also very annoying that the gui now saves command-line configuration
and uses it again next time. The whole point of command line options
is to override one's normal settings.
(For example, I use the xv driver normally, except with files for
which it's broken, when I use x11; I don't want mplayer continuing to
use  x11  just because I specified  -vo x11  the last time.)

I know it would be more useful if I supplied patches, but
unfortunately I don't have the time at the moment; sorry!
