aumix -q , will print someing like following:
vol 75, 75
pcm 64, 64
speaker 0, 0
line 50, 50, R
mic 0, 0, P
cd 90, 90, P
rec 75, 75
igain 75, 75
line1 0, 0, P
phin 0, 0, P
video 0, 0

then, aumix -r100, will turn up rec_level to 100:
vol 75, 75
pcm 64, 64
speaker 0, 0
line 50, 50, R
mic 0, 0, P
cd 90, 90, P
rec 100, 100   ----- changed -----
igain 75, 75
line1 0, 0, P
phin 0, 0, P
video 0, 0
