[MPlayer-users] mplayer with '-mc' parameter

Dear all,

I would like to ask what is the usage of the '-mc' parameter?

Suppose I use meconder to encode a file should I use '-mc 0' in order for
mencoder to produce a good A/V sync file?  Or just let the mplayer do the
A/C correction itself?  How mplayer/mencoder know what is the value of a/v
sync per frame?
