Hello everyone,
I would like to convert some .dv streams I recorded from tv (with
formac studio)
with mencoder to xvid.
After calling mencoder to convert the file, there is this message:
...
MPEG-PS file format detected.
Encrypted VOB file (not compiled with libcss support)! Read
DOCS/en/cd-dvd.html.
Encrypted VOB file (not compiled with libcss support)! Read
DOCS/en/cd-dvd.html.
...
I'm not quite sure about this message since i'm working with a dv file
and not a vob file.
Anyway, I tried to compile mplayer/mencoder with libcss support. I
searched for the
libcss library, but the only thing I found was libdvdcss from VideoLAN.
Is this the same
thing?
First I tried with libdvdcss v1.2.8 but after compiling and installing,
the configuration script didn't recognize
the library (=> the script test fails during including the file 'css.h'
that doesn't exist. The only
thing that library installed is 'dvdcss/dvdcss.h').
After that I searched the mail archive of this mailing list and found
that I have to use
version 0.0.1 but that didn't even compile at all (bus error, never
seen this before).
I'm using Mac OS X 10.2.8 (also tested with 10.2.6) on a PowerBook G4.
I'm compiling with gcc version 3.3.
My mplayer version is a cvs built from 2 October 2003 => except this
problem, it works fine.
I configured it with the options:
--enable-largefiles
--with-xvidcore=/path/to/libxvidcore-cvs-built (also from 2 October)
Perhaps anyone in this list can help me?
Thanks & Regards
Christoph
