[MPlayer-users] Donald Duck sound

I started playing with grabbing sound directly from the bt878 card using
btadudio while recording video tapes.
It captures fine, but the sound speeds up occasionally so that the
characters sound like Donald Duck. I've tried various settings, but no
luck. No apparent errors.
Here's the capture:

No errors, no complaints of dropped frames......
Capture from the sound card loopback works fine, except for some
distortion which I'm guessing is due to the loopback (I have to turn
igain and line in to single digits otherwise the distortion is awful.)
Any ideas/suggestions/etc?
