[MPlayer-users] Reg- help me to install mplayer please

mplayer is *not* part of the redhat dist.  However, here is the simple 
soln IMHO

remove what you have installed
Go here and get apt-0.5.5cnc6-fr1.i386.rpm
http://shrike.freshrpms.net/rpm.html?id=1213

rpm -U apt-0.5.5cnc6-fr1.i386.rpm
apt-get update  #This builds a database
apt-get upgrade  #This installs all the RH patches, not reqd but good idea
apt-get install mplayer #This installs mplayer and all of its depends.

Simple and easy...
