[MPlayer-users] -vf pullup with -vo jpeg

I would like to output frames from the video source into jpegs and
have them already inverse telecined. using the pullup filter along
with the jpeg out doesn't seem to make mplayer happy though, and
a crash results.
Might be there's a more appropriate way to go about doing what it is
I'm trying to accomplish, but I'm not sure what way that might be.
Here's the verbose output from beginning to crash:
robh at hpbox:~/tmp$ mplayer -vf pullup -frames 10 -vo jpeg -v dvd://1
