Clearly, what I'm saying is not making it through...  This
does NOT require any special handling by the playlist.  If you want
"/dev/hdd" to be the dvd device, you would use something like
"dvd://1//dev/hdd" anywhere you could otherwise use "dvd://1".

Now, that's not an exact line, and it's not currently functional AFAIK,
but if the patch is accepted, it will work in the future.
