Hi,

Since I bought a standalone DVD player which is able to play divx movies 
but which doesn't recognize text files with subtitles, I want to add 
hard subtitles to my divx file using mencoder. I've tried:

mencoder -ovc lavc -oac copy -o out.avi -sub in.txt in.avi

...but it didn't work. No better idea.
