I try to get MPlayer 0.92 running on an system with a video card
that only supports 8 bpp color depth. I am using X11 video output.

following messages before MPlayer terminates:

SwScaler: BICUBIC scaler, from BGR 32-bit to BGR 8-bit using C
BGR not supported, please contact the developers
FATAL: Cannot initialize video driver.
VDecoder init failed :(
......

My question: Is it possible to get mplayer running with 8 bpp output
under X11? Or is that not supported?

Thanks for infos!
