[MPlayer-users] DVD 5.1 & ALSA

I finally decided to try and tackle 5.1 audio from my DVD drive last night. Came across a lot of familiar problems according to Google, but I still couldn't get it working.
Using ALSA OSS emulation, I could get every channel except the centre channel (i.e. the main voice channel) when I specified -ao oss -channel 6.
Then I tried using ALSA native (i.e. -ao alsa9) and mplayer would crash. I've tried to include everything from the "what to report" docs...if I've omitted something important, please let me know! Thanks.../Taras
