Doing stuff like this is always dangerous to A/V sync. What I was
suggesting was to change the audio samplerate in the avi header, not
demux and remux...

You'll have to use ildct and ilmv (lavc options) to get remotely
tolerable quality like this, and even then it will be bad. Not only
does hard telecine make it difficult to get good progressive rips; it
also trashes the video quality. :(
