lb produces motion blur. It's like if the cameraman had used 1/25s (or 
1/30s) exposure time.

md, fd, ci,li halve the vertical resolution but don't introduce motion 
blur.

li and ci always throw away halve of the vertical resolution. md only 
interpolates where necessary (like kerndeint).
