[MPlayer-users] segfault on building osld (perhaps I can disable it?)

Hello,

I am using MPlayer 1.0pre4.

I have an AVI file over 2 GB, generated by transcode. The audio is raw
PCM - ditto the big size.

When I try to play it with MPlayer or to convert it witth MEncoder, I
get:

AVI: ODML: Building odml index (2 superindexchunks)

and after some minutes with 100% cpu load:

Segmentation fault

I realize that the bug may be hard to catch; after all I can't upload
nearly 3 gigabytes to the developers. (I'll do any debugging if
requested). But perhaps one can disable the building of the odml index?

I event tried generating an mplayer-format idx file using aviindex, and
then running mplayer with -loadidx . It still tries to build an odml
index. And still segfaults.

Yours, Mikhail Ramendik
