[MPlayer-users] Proxy authentication problem

Hi,
I have successfully installed mplayer (Mplayer-1.0.pre4) and it works 
wonderfully except when I'm connected to internet through a proxy that 
requires authentication. I have looked at several emails in this mailing-list 
and others and I have tried all the possible ways to tell the username and 
password to mplayer:

1. mplayer -playlist 
http_proxy://username:password@server:8080/http://www.cadenaser.com/player/SER-TIC.asx

2. setenv http_proxy http://server:8080
mplayer -user username -passw password 
http://www.cadenaser.com/player/SER-TIC.asx

and other combinations. I always get the same error:

Server returned code 407: Proxy Authentication Required
nop_streaming_start failed
Unable to open URL: 
.
.
.

Does anyone have any idea?

Ah! I'm running Fedorca core 2 on a centrino laptop and I'm in internet 
through a wireless connection. I use the driverloader by Linuxant to make the 
wireless card work.
