I have lirc running on my mPlayer box (over the lan even.)
This shows that lirc is running and a user can use it:
[carl at LinuxBook1 carl]$ irw
00000000843500ff 00 pause CREATIVE_INFRA_DVD
mplayer sees it, but doesn't like lircrc:
(same user)

Can't open input config file /usr/local/etc/mplayer/input.conf: No such file or

Failed to read LIRC config file /etc/lirc.conf.
I guess cp lircd.conf.creative /etc/lircd.conf wasnt the right thing?
