[MPlayer-users] mencvcd script error

I'm trying to rip a dvd with:  
"mencvcd prova dvd://1 -w"

the conversion goes on but after one minute it
terminates with the error:

mencvcd: line 423:  3721 Broken pipe  $command


is there a solution?
