[MPlayer-users] No video outpu after upgrading a Debain/instable system

I have been using Mplayer 1.0pre5 without any problem. Two days back I 
upgarded my debian/unstable (2.4.26-1-686) with dselect and now when I 
play a file with mplayer a window opens but there is no video. Audio is 
functioning right. I compiled the mplayer again. I compiled the mplayer 
with following commands:

configure --enable-gui
make
make install

No errors were reported with any of these commands. But the problem 
still remains the same. NO VIDEO.

I tinkered and found mplayer shows the video with  option "-vo x11", but 
in this case the full screen option does not work.

I am giving output of "mplayer -vo help" and "mplayer -v testfile.avi" 
at the end of the message.


I would like to now what is the problem and how so solve it.
Any help will be appriciated.
