[MPlayer-users] Blue screen when trying to play WMV-HD files

Did you try restarting X11?  I've been having an annoying problem
for a while now where mplayer does something weird with the overlay and
breaks it, so you only get the blue screen until you restart X11.  If
you use another -vo plugin (not xv or xvmc) then you get a picture.

I was rather hoping this was fixed with the 7174 driver...

Last night I was able to play WMV-HD files just fine using CVS source 
that was synced yesterday evening (4/2/2005).  In fact with the new 
nVidia 7174 driver, the video was relatively smooth and the audio in 
sync which is both a first and great thing.  However, after syncing the 
latest CVS source again, I now get a blue screen with "mplayer -fs 
file.wmv"  What changed in the code overnight to break things?
