[MPlayer-users] can anyone play the Oblivion trailer?

Your video card is fine...

The problem is the FGLRX driver...

Ati and XV (Xvideo) don't mix too great... 

I have had the same probelm with a HUGE Matrix video a year or two back.. 
(1024X532) resolution

You can either use -vo x11 -vo gl -vo gl2 OR if you really need the speed for 
video playback dump the fglrx drivers and use the Xorg drm drivers...

And write a nice letter to ATI and ask them to improve their Xvideo portion of 
fgrlx..
