Hi,

The following link which points to streaming mjpg video works fine in a
browser and the video is displayed in a brower:

http://80.120.122.18/axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi?resolution=320x240&dummy=garb

I tried to play that link by entering that link into the mplayer commandline
like this:

gmplayer -vc ffmjpeg
http://80.120.122.18/axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi?resolution=320x240&dummy=garb

The above command gives:
[root at localhost root]# fg
mplayer -vc ffmjpeg
http://80.120.122.18/axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi?resolution=320x240
Playing http://80.120.122.18/axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi?resolution=320x240.
Connecting to server 80.120.122.18[80.120.122.18]:80 ...
Cache size set to 320 KBytes
Connected to server: 80.120.122.18
Cache fill: 17.50% (57344 bytes)

and it just hangs there.

I also tried wget like this:
[root at localhost root]# wget
http://80.120.122.18/axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi?resolut
ion=320x240 -O- | gmplayer -cache 8192 -
