704x576 is the correct (expected) active picture size
for PAL TV, but you must remember that PAL pixels are
not square, while computer pixels usually are.

You need to reduce the height of the video to
compensate for this; you could add scale=704:528 to
your command-line, after the crop filter, which would
correct the pixel-aspect.
