Hallo I am encoding my dv movies with following mencoder params (deinterlace to 50fps)

# 1st pass
mencoder -oac copy -fps 50 -ofps 50 -vf tfields=4:1 -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:vbitrate=1000:v4mv:mbd=2:trell:cmp=3:subcmp=3:mbcmp=3:autoaspect:vpass=1 ff.avi -o 50fps.avi

# 2nd pass the same as first one.
Invoking command: mencoder -oac copy -fps 50 -ofps 50 -vf tfields=4:1 -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:vbitrate=1000:v4mv:mbd=2:trell:cmp=3:subcmp=3:mbcmp=3:autoaspect:vpass=2 ff.avi -o 50fps.avi

The problem is that animation is little bit teared but enough to be annoying.
First I thought that the issue is performance (previously I encoded movies to 8mbps stream), but after decreasing stream to 1Mbps and recompiling mplayer to i686 I can see the same tearing issue. Maybe the problem is somewhere with mencoder params.

I am running my movies on:
PIII coppermine 1Ghz
256 MB ram
Radeon 9200SE
hdparm -t /dev/hda: 30 MB/sec

system: fc.5

Do You have any idea on what might be the reason of tearing issue.
