I've finished running some new tests.  

filmdint is alot better than it was (or that I remember it to be) a
couple years ago.  It still misses things, like frames bordering cuts or
occationally a small area that is changing when the rest of the screen
is completely still, but otherwise its results are very close to that
of the pullup filter but with much less cpu consumed.

pullup doesn't miss anything, as least so far as the material I've used
it on goes, so it'll continue to be my choice for encoding use.  but I
think I'll switch to using filmdint on this slower machine for casual
realtime playback.
