Closed captions or subtitles? As of yet, I have never seen an  
application capture closed captioning, except one program that was  
packaged with an old ATI TV-capture card. Your best bet is to go  
back, make sure you ripped the video with the subtitles included.

Ahh, a Mac-centric solution. Luckily I'm a Mac user.
I wouldn't reccomend ffmpegX for messing with Subtitles. Unless  
you're going from SRT/SSA/Whatever to VobSub for a DVD you plan on  
burning, it's really not too good at that. D-Subtitler is pretty  
good, except the gOCR engine can have some glitches. Once it turned  
out an SRT file with NO spaces between words. I wish D-Subtitler had  
options for different output formats, like SSA, or just a VobSub  
dump, but that's the catch with it I guess.

Neither of those programs work with closed captioning. Like I say: go  
back, get the VobSubs. Otherwise, you're probably out of luck.
