thanks for the hints. But in my case the problem could be solved with 
-cache 32000. Don't know if i need this much memory (not played with 
this value) but it works. Now all 720p runs smoothly _with_ sound. Only 
at the beginning some (3-5) error messages were printed.
1080p (only two files tested so far) seems to be to much for my cpu ;)
