Well, on a slightly faster system (Sempron 2800+ o/c to 2665Mhz) I can
play h264 1080p trailers from apple almost without framedrops with
skiploopfilter=bidir option, but when a lot of applications are running,
mplayer drops 2-3 frames each second are dropped (maybe changing
sheduler would help with that..), the video remains smooth, though.

skiploopfilter=nonkey gives about 62% (decoding) + 8% (displaying) cpu
load, and will play every video without framedrops even on slower
systems, but quality is significantly worse with this option. bidir
skipping doesn't make picture bad, at least for high-bitrate 1080p
content in motion I don't notice the difference with skiploopfilter=none
at all.

my mplayer's build is about a month old and was compiled with gcc 3.2.
Maybe getting a newest build and compiling it with gcc 4.0.2 will
improve the situation.
