1. Have you recompiled xvid between versions? Are you using the same
xvid version for both? Did nasm exist on your system when you compiled xvid?
2. Did you use the same gcc version to make pre7 and pre8?
3. What happens when you omit your custom xvid options? Is the
performance problem still there?
