This is a known problem.  'configure' needs to undergo a major rewrite
to move all of the *_INC and *_LIB garbage into EXTRA_LIB and EXTRA_INC,
as it leaves too much freedom between MPlayer to ffmpeg to use whatever
extra include/library dirs.  The current fix is to just use
--with-extralibdir and --with-extraincdir for x264/xvid/etc. includes
and libs.
