This doesn't look like an actual error. Yes, MPlayer was unable to
initialize the first video decoder it tried (mpegpes), but having failed
it then moved on to try another video devoder (libmpeg2) which did not
fail. It should go on from there to play the file correctly; if it
doesn't, then the error messages are almost certainly in the part you
snipped.

In any case, 1.0pre7try2 is ancient; until such time as there is another
release, you are not going to get much support on these mailing lists if
you aren't using the latest CVS version.
