Yes. If you update to 10.4. For the 10.3.9 the last QuickTime version
compiling with mplayer is 7.0.1. Newer 7.0 give you linking errors for 

	_HICopyAccessibilityRoleDescription

and

	_LLCStyleInfoCheckForOpenTypeTables

Since 7.1 you get errors for 

	_LLCStyleInfoCheckForOpenTypeTables

and

	 _LLCStyleInfoGetUserRunFeatures

Altough up to now there is no 7.1 SDK, I doubt that it will cure the
problem, as Apple expects everybody nowadays to do development on 10.4.
