All,
I'm not quite quite familiar with the mpeg2 stuff, my situation is like
this.

I have an d-link dsm320 hardware media player, I am watching p2p tv
(sopcast) on redhat with realtime transcoding from ASF format to mpeg2, the
problem is sometimes the network feed is not fast enough (I modified the
mencoder to wait when the eof reached or nothing to read from the network
source, no problem with the transcoding from ASF to MPEG2)

my problem is:

1. when network is slow (the ASF feed is not fast enough), the transcoded
mpeg2 looks scrambled, fuzzy, according to my poor understanding, this
should be case, is there a mencoder option to make it better?

2. when network feed is not fast enough, I might need to feed the dsm320
other snippet of video (or even old viewed mpeg2 video for the current
transcoded mpeg2 stream).
how to do real time switching to different mpeg2 stream or same mpeg2 stream
but different location?

please give advise!
