[MPlayer-users] Mac OS X port problems

Congratulations on MPlayer OS X - it's a great app!

However it has some problems. It's missing two important, standard key  
shortcuts:

Cmd+, (comma) key combination doesn't open preferences window.
Cmd+W doesn't close player window (there should be Close entry in File  
menu).

and mousewheel doesn't change volume when mouse hovers volume bar (that's  
just a minor detail).


I'm a little disappointed with the latest (1.0rc1) distribution - it now  
comes with an installer, making installation process longer and requiring  
admin password. Is there a good reason for it?

PPC-only package bundled with PPC+Intel seems redundant (makes download  
even larger) and since PPC-only version has its application identifier and  
filename changed upgrading from previous version makes a duplicate  
instead. This messes-up file associations. Changed application identifier  
breaks compatibility with other applications (for example Remote Buddy  
won't "see" MPlayer OS X PPC.app).
