IMO, it would be better for everyone if you just submit your compilation
problems here and I'll try to correct them. Effectively, there are quite
a few problems you might encounter if you don't know some tricks when
compiling on MinGW (in most cases mplayer itself compiles just fine
out-of-the-box, but for the libraries it's another story).
To compile mplayer on MinGW, you need to download and unpack/install the
following MinGW packages :
- gcc-core
- gcc-g++
- binutils
- w32api
- mingw-runtime
- msys
If you installed them correctly, then mplayer should compile flawlessly.
If you want to compile some libraries but encounter problems, describe
them here.
