For the Gui currently zlib is a must, otherwise the PNG decoder is
missing and it will not work at all.
Freetype (and for that iconv) are a very good idea as well, and directx
headers too.
If you do not mind some outdated stuff (e.g. the configure command lines
need to be adjusted to work with SVN), here is my old package of
libraries: http://www1.mplayerhq.hu/~reimar/mpl_mingw32.zip
I'd like to prepare a new one but didn't have time so far.
