[MPlayer-users] xv overlays stopped working... black screen only, no errors

Suddenly xv overlays have stopped working for me... when I run
"mplayer -vo xv ..." the window just shows black, but mplayer
gives no errors (and I get the sound of what I'm playing).

Everything looks normal, Xorg.0.log shows XVideo modules loading
without errors, no other related messages in any logs, no errors
from mplayer.  -vo x11 and -vo gl work fine.

This is with kernel A2.6.20-15 and xorg 7.2.  My video card is a
Radeon 7500, and I'm using the Xorg radeon driver.  Everything
worked normally a couple of weeks ago, and I don't know what
could be different.  Anyone have any ideas what could be going
on?
