vlc wont play most rm files ;p

you can try running an rm fix program (see www.vcdhelp.com ) on the dumped real 
media files. or you can try using helix player (the open source realplayer) to 
see if it works.

mplayer devs arent interested in trying to create files that realplayer plays. 
try emailing realplayer and give them a sample stream.dump.
