[MPlayer-users] TiVo content: MPEG: No audio stream found -> no sound.

I'm trying to transcode video from my Tivo. Some content works, but some 
mencoder can't find the audio stream.

My TiVo is at version 6.3c, and is running vstream server version 1.2.

I've tried this using mencoder on my linux box, my PC running cygwin and 
my PC running the native Windows port. All have the same result.

On linux, I installed the binary codec package 
(essential-20061022.tar.bz2), and that didn't seem to help.

On linux and cygwin, I built using the latest RC. On native windows, I 
downloaded the binary (older build than what I used for linux & cygwin). 
The windows binary also did not have the vstream library compiled, so I 
just used a locally saved .ty stream.

I tried using other tools to convert from ty to mpeg (like tytompg), and 
it detects the audio stream as "AC3 audio at 48kHz, 384 kbps, 1536 
bytes/sync frame". I'd rather use mencoder (it saves a few steps and 
tytompg has problems with some streams that mencoder seems OK with).

The content is over-the-air Dolby surround HD.

Any help is appreciated. I can provide small test cases if anyone wants 
to take a look.
