Problem solved! Thanks Csaba! :-)

Here's what I did:

I opened a terminal window, and typed su and then the password. I then typed:
gedit /etc/fstab

When Gedit opened, I added the following line:
/dev/cdrom /media/disk iso9660 ro,user,noauto,unhide

Saved /etc/fstab

In a another terminal window (Not su, just a normal user) I typed the following line:
mplayer /media/disk/Features/Satriani\ -\ Satch\ Boogie.mov

A video window popped up, and Joe Satriani was doing his crazy Satch boogie lesson for me to watch! Cool!

Output from terminal window of successful video playback (might be useful to others who are trying to get mixed mode cds to play... or maybe just watch the ever amazing Joe Satriani.... ;-) )

Note: my dvd burner, a Liteon DVD-RW LH-16W1P, and is accessed at: /media/disk under Fedora Core 5. Hope this helps eveybody... Cheers! NexxuSix

Don't know how to do it from within kde (gnome displays nice dialog
window which says that CD contains different kinds of data and asks
whether do you want to listen to audio part or mount the data part), but
you mentioned that data is on the second session - well try mounting it
then:
mount /dev/cdrom /media -t iso9660 -o session=2

Also try different numbers (say, from 0 to 4).
