[MPlayer-users] Slideshows with mplayer

Hello,

Is it possible to play a slide show with mplayer? I tryed playing a directory full of .jpgs but the best timing I could get was 1 fps which is still to fast and had no fade in/out or other effects. Is it possible to play .swf files with mplayer?
